ERIC JONES

Manager/3rd Base Coach

Manager Eric Jones oversees our strategy and advises on the best course of action. Eric attended and graduated from Professional Umpiring school in Kissimmee, FL in 2010. He played his youth baseball for Newmarket Hawks. He attended Huron Heights S.S where he excelled in baseball (2004-2007) He started coaching Huron Heights S.S (2008-18,22) as Third Base and Pitching Coach. Capturing a YRAA championship (2009) and two OFSAA appearances (2009&2016). While at Huron, Eric is in contact with numerous American and Canadian colleges. He managed Nobleton/Newmarket Cornhuskers, Sr. Men's team from the NDBL (2013-2017) and Manager 13U St. Anthony Angels Baseball Academy (2020-2021)  After coming back from Professional Umpiring school he was awarded  and named Umpire in Chief for Newmarket Baseball Association (2010-2015) He started umpiring in the IBL in 2010 and most recently in the WCBL for two seasons (2018,2019)Eric knows the game and rules more than most. His Baseball I.Q rivals all coaches at all levels. He is always trying to develop and teach players to be smarter and better players.

BRYAN BOUDREAU

Hitting/Pitching Coach

Bryan Boudreau has been a truly valued member of the Lake Simcoe Baseball Academy family since the beginning. As our Bench and Pitching Coach, Bryan works closely with our team members to make sure they’re performing to the best of their ability. Bryan played his youth baseball with Newmarket Hawks and then as a pitcher for Team Ontario in 2010 and 2011. He attended Huron Heights S.S where he was the captain in his Senior year and won a YRAA championship and OFSSA appearance in 2009. In 2012 Bryan attended a professional try out in Sauget, Illinois USA and only Canadian to make the final cut. He played in the IBL for five seasons as a pitcher with Guelph Royals from 2012-2016. Bryan topped out at 94mph.

CHRIS ANDREWS

1st Base/Infield Coach

Chris Andrews has been with us since the very beginning. He will train and mentor players, offering professional and quality guidance throughout the season. Chris played his baseball with Newmarket Hawks, Richmond Hill Phoenix, Vaughan Vikings, Markham Mariners, Mulock S.S and Ontario Cardinals. Chris played his Sr baseball in the GTBL with Martin Grove (2014), Cornhuskers in 2014-2017 and most recent with the NDBL Bolton Dodgers. Chris wants to help improve baseball skill and baseball I.Q.

DWAINE NICHOL

BenchCoach/Catching Instructor

Dwaine started his baseball career at a young age, playing 8 seasons of  AAA baseball for the Etobicoke Rangers organization. As well as 3 OFFSA appearances for his high school Bishop Allen Academy, including a silver Medal. He later took his abilities further and was the leader of the Seneca College Baseball team from 2014-2018. Dwaine captured 2 team MVP's during his years at Seneca. He is inspired by previous professional coaches and would like to pass on his knowledge to the next generation.

DANIEL REES

Outfield/Bullpen Coach

Daniel started his elite career being recruited to pitch for the Ontario Tigers 14U team (2005-2006 season) Furthering his career he progressed under the watchful eye of the Canadian Thunderbirds Baseball Club for the 16U-18U years (2007-2009). During that time Daniel played for Huron Heights S.S as the only Freshman to make the team. In his Senior year Daniel was an excellent team leader and Captain, leading the team to capture a YRAA championship and solid appearance at OFSAA, alongside Eric Jones and Bryan Boudreau. With college in sight and careful consideration, Daniel sought after a scholarship to follow his dreams in a career in Firefighting and baseball. After attending a few different schools, and convincing coaches to make the trip to a scouting event, Daniel landed a scholarship to a D3 Junior college in Lansing Michigan. With bright eyes and a talent for the game, Daniel wants nothing more than to share his knowledge, as well create the starting path towards a scholarship for those striving for a future in post secondary and baseball.

BRAD MCLELLAN

Special Assistant (Pitchers)

Brad attended Huron Heights S.S and began playing elite baseball as a 16-year-old on an 18U Ontario Tigers Team. Under the tutelage of former New York Yankee, Adrian Hernandez, Brad played 2 years with this organization before moving onto the Canadian Thunderbirds Baseball Club. Brad played here for his final season before earning a scholarship to play with Morton College in Illinois. Brad aims to bring his knowledge, experience and love of the game to the next generation of athletes.
